What is a virus and how can you get them?

There are many forms of viruses. And each virus does a different thing. The most common are ‘AdWare’ ‘SpyWare’ ‘MalWare’.

AdWare adds annoying, potentially dangerous, adverts to your browser (Chrome/IE etc.). These AdWare are often installed silently. This means when you install another software, the AdWare virus is installed secretly (Hidden), meaning the only way you will know about it is when you open your browser and your home screen has changed and there are adverts and links embedded into webpages.
AdWare is usually easily removed, either by removing the extension from your browser or uninstalling the AdWare software from your PC; but there are always occasions where they will be very hard to get rid of, this is because the adware files are spread in all different folders on the PC. The easiest way to remove them now- is Virus Protection (McAfee/Norton/AVG etc.)
